On 25 September 2026, EXELISIS IKE participated in Researchers’ Night Greece at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), presenting the PROPLANET project and engaging with students, researchers, professionals and members of the wider public.
The event offered an opportunity to introduce visitors to PROPLANET and its work towards developing safer and more sustainable coating technologies. Through its research, the project addresses the replacement of harmful PFAS-based coatings with innovative alternatives designed according to Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) principles, contributing to more sustainable materials and supporting the transition towards a circular economy.
A particularly enjoyable part of the event was the strong interest from younger visitors. The PROPLANET Kids Magazine attracted many children to the stand, giving them an opportunity to explore the project through colourful and interactive educational content. The magazine was designed to introduce younger audiences to concepts related to sustainability, materials and environmental protection in a simple and engaging way.
Children and students spent time looking through the magazine, playing with the activities and asking questions about the project, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere around the PROPLANET stand. Their curiosity also provided an opportunity to discuss how scientific research and innovation can contribute to addressing environmental challenges.
Researchers’ Night was therefore a valuable opportunity for EXELISIS to communicate PROPLANET’s work to different audiences while making research more accessible and engaging for the next generation.
EXELISIS thanks everyone who visited the stand and took part in the discussions and activities throughout the event.
