HOLOSS & AITEX Visit COLOR CENTER

Our PROPLANET Project partners, HOLOSS and AITEX, had the honor of touring the facilities of COLOR CENTER, S.A., a market leader in the production of textile coatings, on October 29, 2024. Our partners gained a thorough understanding of COLOR CENTER’s extensive industrial setup during this enlightening visit, with particular attention to their sophisticated large-scale textile coating production lines. Our comprehension of the industrial processes underlying the production of textile coatings was greatly enhanced by the practical exposure to such a cutting-edge facility. When the HOLOSS team had the chance to tour the facilities of AITEX, a significant end-user partner in the PROPLANET Project, on October 30^th, the partnership continued.

The team was able to examine AITEX’s state-of-the-art equipment and creative techniques during this visit, which are essential for applying textile coatings on a laboratory and semi-industrial scale. Seeing these procedures in action enhanced the team’s knowledge and demonstrated how well industry and research can work together to accomplish project objectives. Our sincere gratitude is extended to the professionals—Marcella Paula, Dr. Tamilazhaki Lingasamy, Joan Salvà, Amado Lacruz, Òscar Calvo i Mezquida, Elia Ana S., and Joan Salvà—who organised these visits and contributed their expertise to the experience. Their advice and observations have greatly improved the PROPLANET Project’s strategy for developing novel and sustainable coating solutions.
