Strengthening Collaboration with BIO-SUSHY

In the spirit of cooperation and creativity, we are thrilled to announce an important milestone! Dr. Ioanna Katsavou, our dissemination manager from EXELISIS IKE, recently paid a visit to AXIA Innovation GmbH’s Munich headquarters. The creation of a novel new SSBD coatings cluster named NoPFAS was the topic of an interesting and productive conversation between Dr. Katsavou and Dr. Michele Ponzelli, the dissemination manager for the BIO-SUSHY Project, during her visit.

This program is a significant step toward encouraging cooperation amongst top European initiatives aiming to create sustainable and inventive coating solutions devoid of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds). The four innovative initiatives that make up the NoPFAS cluster—PROPLANET, BIO-SUSHY, Tornado, and ZeroF—are dedicated to sharing knowledge, fostering creativity, and developing significant solutions for sustainable materials science.

In order to ease communication and enable the sharing of ideas, resources, and expertise, the projects have created a specific Teams forum as part of this exciting cooperation. The joint dedication to accomplishing the cluster’s shared objectives and making sure that the projects’ synergies are effectively used is demonstrated by this shared platform. We are also excited to announce the forthcoming internal thematic seminar series, which aims to broaden the scope of these creative activities, investigate new avenues for collaboration, and enhance cross-project learning.

It is anticipated that the NoPFAS cluster’s work will make a substantial contribution to the creation of eco-friendly coatings that meet consumer and societal expectations. This partnership emphasises how crucial collaborative research and information sharing are to addressing the intricate problems of contemporary materials science.
