TECNALIA – Beyond PFAS

On April 19^th, TECNALIA Research & Innovation, one of our esteemed partners, spearheaded an enlightening internal discussion titled “Beyond PFAS: Exploring Sustainable Alternatives and Innovative Coating Solutions for Consumer Applications.”

Dr. Fabiola Brusciotti, a leading expert at TECNALIA Surface Engineering, captivated the audience with insights into the ongoing efforts to develop PFA-free coatings. These coatings are specifically targeted for use in sectors such as low maintenance glass, food packaging machinery, and kitchenware applications. Dr. Brusciotti shed light on the advancements within the PROPLANET Project and its sister project, the Tornado Project, both aimed at revolutionising coating technologies for a more sustainable future.

The talk provided valuable knowledge and perspectives on sustainable alternatives, underscoring our collective commitment to environmental responsibility. By actively pursuing innovative solutions, we are taking significant strides towards realising a greener, more sustainable tomorrow.
