ZeroF Project Event Concludes Successfully

On 20 November 2025, the ZeroF Project Final Event took place at the Leitat Technological Center in Barcelona, bringing together researchers, industry representatives, and stakeholders to showcase innovation and sustainability in materials and coatings. The event provided a platform for exchanging knowledge, discussing challenges, and exploring collaborative opportunities in the transition toward safer and more sustainable solutions.

The PROPLANET Project was proudly represented by Dr. Òscar Calvo from AITEX, who participated in a dynamic panel discussion. Dr. Calvo shared insights on PFAS-free coating technologies, highlighting the project’s ongoing work to develop safe and sustainable alternatives for a variety of industrial applications, including textiles, food packaging, and glass surfaces. His presentation emphasised how PROPLANET combines scientific research, industrial feasibility, and environmental responsibility to advance Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approaches.

The event also featured presentations and discussions from other EU-funded initiatives, providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The interactive sessions underscored the importance of joint efforts in driving progress toward a PFAS-free future and promoting greener materials across multiple sectors.
