The PROPLANET consortium has released the PROPLANET Replication Tool, a free open‑source web application designed to help industry, researchers, and policymakers explore high‑performance PFAS‑free coating alternatives for glass, metal, and textiles. As concerns grow over the environmental persistence and health risks of PFAS, the tool offers a practical resource to compare formulation properties, assess performance, and review environmental and safety considerations, without requiring specialised software or expertise.
Developed by PROPLANET’s 13‑partner European consortium, the tool integrates modelling, safety data, and experimental insights contributed by IDENER, NovaMechanics, the University of Málaga, RINA‑CSM, TECNALIA, and NILU. Full source code is openly available to support further development and adaptation.
The PROPLANET Replication Tool is now accessible at https://proplanet.idener.ai/.
