PROPLANET Heads to SICT 2025

We’re excited to announce that PROPLANET will be participating in the upcoming SICT 2025 – International Conference on Surfaces, Coatings, and Interfaces, taking place from April 23 to 25 in the beautiful region of Algarve, Portugal.

SICT is a premier gathering of scientists, researchers, and industry leaders working at the forefront of surface and coatings science. This year’s conference promises to deliver engaging discussions and insights into the latest technologies, trends, and challenges in the field.

A major highlight of our participation will be the “Beyond PFAS” workshop, where four Horizon Europe projects—ZeroF, Tornado, BIO-SUSHY, and PROPLANET—will come together to present their work on developing safe and sustainable alternatives to PFAS-based coatings.

As part of this special session, PROPLANET will deliver two dedicated presentations, offering key updates on our recent findings and breakthroughs. Our contributions will focus on the project’s application of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework and how we’re paving the way toward high-performance, environmentally friendly coatings for textiles, food packaging, and glass.
